Pre-season accommodation Tignes

We are now back in the UK for the summer, and busy organising next winter's accommodation packages.
The first is the pre-season in end of October to early December, largely hosted for the race-training and high performance training offered by coaching companies Podium and Snoworks.

End of another season 2011-2012...

Well that's it.
Winter 2011-2012. It's over!
It's been a great season!

We have had 700+ guests, with some great feedback (will be posted on the website soon!):

Chalet La Tourne has been as popular as ever.
Chalet Attique 38 and 39 have provided a great alternative, for smaller groups who wanted sole occupancy.
Not to mention the new Lavachet Lodge bed & breakfast, which by selling on a night by night basis, proved to be a great accommodation alternative.

November was successful, where we had 2 chalets accomodating race trainees. Chalet Chardons for Podium clients, and Chalet La Tourne for Snoworks clients. We are happy to say that we will be able to accommodate these trainees on the same principle for the forthcoming autumn training of Oct/Nov 2012.

We've had some interesting natural disasters to deal with this season; a couple of avalanches across the road forcing overnight road closures, a couple of rock falls across the road nearer the end of the season, again with the same issues, and the exceptionally cold conditions in February and early March where temperatures of sub 25 degrees forced diesel to freeze up in the minibuses.

Not to mention the enormous amount of snow that we received over the course of the season!

We also ran two successful corporate trips in March, groups of 37 and 16 people, for Macfarlanes LLP.

The X-games brought a high volume of visitors to Tignes, and with great weather during the competition, made for a great event.

And of course thanks to the great team that we had this year. Tom as chalet manager, and chalet hosts Terence, Sophie, Stef, Jade, Dan, Chris, Shak, Rachel, and handy-man Fred!
